Lighthouse Bay

Just to prove that every cloud has a silver lining, a newly sunken fishing boat has become Koh Tao's only accessible wreck at Lighthouse Bay. It was soon populated by a variety of fish and other familiar creatures and has become encrusted in sponges and corals.

Lying in shallow water it is easily penetrated and is perfect for the wreck diving speciality. Large coral heads and swim throughs surround the area, which makes this a varied dive and full of interest.

You're most likely to see either Hawksbill turtles or Greenback turtles around Koh Tao, though other breeds occasionally stop by. This particular Hawksbill is a resident of these parts and is regularly seen at the Twin Peaks dive site feeding on corals.
After the exhileration of the dives, chill out in the hot sun on the deck of one of Master Divers' dive boats.
