Learn to dive with Master Divers!

Master Divers is a scuba diving school situated on the beautiful island of Koh Tao in Thailand. We can teach you recreational and technical diving from novice through to master instructor, with a range of dive specialties also available, or we can act as your guide to Koh Tao's stunning dive sites.

Superior diving in Koh Tao...

Take a look through the web site and you'll find a huge range of scuba diving courses we can offer you, from complete beginner to professional diver training.

Master Divers offer some great diving opportunities for more experienced divers, including fun dives at dive sites all around Koh Tao, diving from the Valiant, our super fast Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB), or technical diving aboard the MV Trident, a fully equipped steel-hulled tech live aboard. We're happy to offer Nitrox diving (in fact, we fill the tanks for most dive centres in Koh Tao that offer Nitrox) and Tri-mix for technical divers.

If your friends don't fancy diving they can still accompany you on the dive boat and snorkel with us at shallow dive sites for free.

We can help you to find accommodation anywhere on the island which suites your budget and requirements.

Master Divers is keen to promote reef conservation, which is why we are one of the few dive schools in the world that can boast having marine biologists on staff, and we work on various projects to promote healthy reefs and aquatic life around Koh Tao. We also offer information on the marine life you will see when diving here on this web site.

Master Divers offers you the option to have your diving experience filmed for posterity by ACE Marine Images. Filming in the shallow reefs of Koh Tao, loved by recreational divers and perfect for beginners, to the deep shipwrecks of the Gulf of Thailand, only accessible to experienced technical divers, ACE Marine Images are at the top of their game, also running underwater video training for those with a passion to create their own high quality movies.

From Zero to Hero!

Master Divers is happy to take you from complete beginner to professional Divemaster or Instructor, allowing you to work in the dive industry on beautiful tropical islands all over the world.

Working as an intern with Master Divers, you will be expertly guided through your study and exams whilst gaining a practical, hands-on experience. As a Divemaster Trainee (DMT), you'll get the opportunity to work on the Valiant (the best RIB on Koh Tao) as well as our main dive boat. You will also learn to work in every aspect of the dive centre. Only Master Divers can offer this breadth of experience.

If you're interested, please contact us so we can tailor a training package to your specific needs.

Whale Sharks are what we're famous for. Koh Tao is a normal stopping off point for Whale Sharks on their annual trips around the world so they're relatively common here. They're completely harmless plankton feeders and the ones we see here range in size from 2.5 metres to 7 metres long.
No experience? No problem. Master Divers will teach you everything from beginner to professional so you can work anywhere in the world - just like James here did in summer 2008. Photo by Andrew Dutton.
The yellow boxfish only maintains its bright colour as a juvenile. They can be seen at several sites around Koh Tao. This particular one spotted at Chumphon Pinnacle measured 4.5cm. Photo by Andrew Dutton.
Sairee beach, about ten minutes walk from Mae Haad, is the largest beach on Koh Tao. Despite the tranquility of this beach during the day, at night it becomes Koh Tao's party capital. The beach is lined with bars and clubs which keep bumping till the early hours. Photo by Andrew Dutton.
